Dancing in Midsummer, Youth Shines Bright
Toward the Future, Passion Soars
From July 12 to 16, the Dance Teaching Competition for Arts Vocational Education was grandly held at Beijing Dance Academy. A total of 103 works from 36 vocational colleges took the stage, fostering friendship through dance and advancing teaching through competition, together composing an inspiring chapter in dance vocational education!
On the evening of July 16th, the closing ceremony and comprehensive performance of the 4th “Fanghua Cup” Dance Vocational Education Skills Competition was held at the Dance Theater.
At the award ceremony, Xu Rui, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Beijing Dance Academy, and Zhang Jianping, Vice President (Acting) of the China Education Federation of the Arts (CEFA), delivered speeches, expressing their heartfelt gratitude to the faculty and students from all participating institutions, industry colleagues, and everyone who contributed both on stage and behind the scenes.
President Xu Rui noted that the “Fanghua Cup” leverages dance as a medium and culture as its foundation, aligning with the new mission of building a leading country in education and marking a new chapter in vocational education. Over the three-day competition, faculty and students from 36 institutions showcased their exceptional skills and innovative thinking, embodying the core values of arts vocational education: fostering virtue and aesthetics through education. We believe that these practical experiences, along with the ensuing educational reforms, will inject new vitality into dance education and create broader avenues for cultivating well-rounded artistic talents with both moral integrity and professional excellence. Looking ahead, Beijing Dance Academy will collaborate with institutions nationwide, embracing integration as a pathway to foster a new ecosystem for the coordinated development of dance arts education.
Vice President Zhang Jianping expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the hardware support and software empowerment provided by Beijing Dance Academy, a prestigious institution in the dance field, for this year’s “Fanghua Cup.” He also congratulated all the faculty and students who participated in the competition. He highlighted that the CEFA “Fanghua Cup” has always been dedicated to nurturing exceptional artistic talent and creating a high-standard, professional platform for showcasing and exchanging arts vocational education and teaching achievements. Through competition, it strengthens skills, fosters student development, promotes teaching, and drives research, thereby driving innovation in dance teaching and improving the quality of dance vocational education. Looking ahead, CEFA will continue to refine the “Fanghua Cup” and other signature initiatives, with the hope that institutions will leverage the platform of CEFA to enrich teaching and cultivate more well-rounded, talented arts professionals for the new era.
The 4th “Fanghua Cup” came to a successful close after three days, covering seven competition categories for both secondary and higher vocational education, with events across all dance genres. Efforts of Backstage Staff
As the organizer of this year’s “Fanghua Cup” Dance Vocational Education Skills Competition, the Affiliated Secondary School of Beijing Dance Academy worked closely with several departments, including the Publicity Department of the Academy Party Committee, the Art Practice Center, the Party Committee’s Security Department (Office), the Logistics and Infrastructure Department, and the Library. With their professional organizational expertise and meticulous service support, they ensured the high-quality presentation of the competition.
Although the Dance Teaching Competition for Arts Vocational Education has concluded, the journey of exploring dance vocational education continues. The Affiliated Secondary School of Beijing Dance Academy will remain committed to its mission of “fostering virtue and aesthetics through education,” working in collaboration with art schools nationwide to carry forward the heritage of dance art, and contributing the energy and passion of youth to the building of China’s cultural strength!
