
With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Municipal Government, as well as the support of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and the China-Europe Education Alliance for Humanities and Arts, the awarding ceremony & closing gala of the 8th Beijing International Ballet Invitational for Dance Schools sponsored by Beijing Dance Academy came to a successful conclusion via online broadcast.

After two days of intense competition and strict and fair evaluation by the jury, 5 types of awards were given, including 6 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 7 third prizes, 1 Jury Special Prize and 1 Prix de BDA. Out of the 71 contestants who entered the finals, 21 contestants from 8 countries won prizes. The number of online spectators reached 1.824 million, including 1.74 million domestic spectators and 83,000 foreign spectators. Maria Khoreva from Russian Malinsky Theater Orchestra, one of the most popular young ballet stars in the world today, was specially invited to participate. Finally, she won the BDA Award. The joining of the world's top judges and world-famous contestants shows the quality of this Ballet Invitational as a high-level event in the world.

Jury Special Prize
Ba Tu, Chairman of the Invitational Organizing Committee and BDA Party Secretary, delivered a closing speech for the 8th Beijing International Ballet Invitational for Dance Schools. On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Ballet Invitational, he expressed warm congratulations to the winners and gratitude to the judges for their highly professional evaluation.
Guo Lei, Chairman of the Invitational Organizing Committee and BDA President announced the Prix de BDA and the Jury Special Prize.
Finally, Mr. Ba Tu announced the successful conclusion of the 8th Beijing International Ballet Invitational for Dance Schools. The closing gala was jointly performed by Beijing Dance Academy and The Royal Ballet of the United Kingdom, presenting an international high-level ballet performance to the audience. Beijing Dance Academy not only presented modern and contemporary ballet works such as "Wave Crest " and "Whale Fall", but also the classical ballet "Swan Lake" staged in St. Petersburg in 2019, reflecting the profound, diverse and excellent ballet traditions of Beijing Dance Academy as the origin of Chinese ballet. The classical ballet "Sleeping Beauty" brought by The Royal Ballet was the first worldwide appearance of the Royal Ballet outside London since the onset of the pandemic, and represented a highlight at this gala performance.
